LOVE IS PRACTICE. MAGIC IS EVERYDAY. CARE = ACTION.

Creativity is Freedom

Creativity is freedom for me — a way of making sense of the world: trusting myself, noticing, feeling, and transforming what moves through my day.

Designed by Jax Preciado — special education veteran, 3x Schools of the Future presenter, and memoirist.

Built on ten years of place-based, trauma-informed curriculum design.

What People Are Saying

  • I've tried a lot of writing curricula for my homeschool. Jax's Noticing Practice is the first thing I've found that actually teaches kids how to write — with real structure and support built in — while still making it feel creative and personal."

    — Catherine, cohort 1, homeschool teacher

  • "It was a safe place to express myself and learn new techniques. And I know I can use what was shared with me in my classroom."

—Crystal, cohort 1, middle school educator

  • "It's been hanging over my desk since I got it. I look up, read the month's prompt, and it pulls me out of my head for a second."

Three Ways to Work With Me

A Noticing Session

$175 | 60-Minute 1:1 Strategy (Zoom or Honolulu)

For writers, educators, and creators who are stuck on a single piece.

  • Bring one specific draft, essay opening, or stuck scene. Together, we will look at where your sensory details need depth, pull out your core narrative through-lines, and restructure your entry point.

You leave with: Direct, line-level clarity on that draft and a concrete roadmap to finish it.

Six Weeks of Noticing

$450 | Three 60-Minute Sessions + Written Feedback Memo (Save $75)

For creators, researchers, and memoirists building a larger project or manuscript arc.

  • Three 1:1 sessions spaced two weeks apart to build momentum and keep your nervous system regulated. Between Sessions 1 and 2, I closely read one complete piece (up to 3,000 words) and deliver a 1-page Written Structural Memo analyzing your pacing, somatic anchors, and thematic arc.

You leave with: A finished major piece, a repeatable writing practice, and total narrative momentum.

Creative Strategy & Professional Development

From $1,500 | 90-Min Masterclass, Half-Day, or Year-Long Licensing

For schools, district leaders, and mission-driven organizations.

  • Accessible, place-based writing curriculum rooted in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and trauma-informed practice. We provide professional learning and plug-and-play classroom tools (The Noticing Practice) that expand student voice, observation, and belonging.

Teachers leave with: Classroom-tested strategies that build student writing confidence and emotional regulation without teacher burnout.
